PEN America L’Engle/Rahman Prize
I’m a recipient of the inaugural PEN America/L’Engle-Rahman Prize for Mentorship, which uplifts mentorships in our Prison Writing Program that are grounded in this mutual becoming and recognizes writing can be as much a communal venture as a solitary one. Holiday
My new play Holiday (an immersive crafting experience) will play at Pandora Productions in Louisville, Kentucky this November and at the Judson Memorial Church this December.
CREAM CITY
CREAM CITY is a new TV pilot I’m writing with my colleague and friend Matt W. Cody. The script has received a number of festival laurels already, including winner of the Niagara Falls International Short Film Festival, Finalist for the WeScreenplay Diverse Voices Spring 2022 Lab, honorable mention in Screenplay Festival, and Semi-Finalist in the Stage 32 Television Drama Writing Contest, Big Apple Film Festival, Calgary Independent Film Festival, Florida Shorts, Boston Screenplay Awards, Rotterdam Independent Film Festival, Stockholm Short Festival, Phoenix Shorts. This screenplay was also a “Second Rounder” for the Austin Film Festival in 2021. Check out Cream City website here!
